Immobilien haben Drogen als lukrativste Handelsware abgelöst, und die umtriebigsten Unternehmer der Branche sind Banditen. Egal ob als kleiner Gauner wie One Two (Gerard Butler) oder als undurchsichtiger russischer Milliardär wie Uri Obomavich (Karel Roden) - an einem Mann kommen sie alle nicht vorbei: Lenny Cole (Tom Wilkinson). Als Gangster alter Schule weiß er genau, was zu tun ist, um seine Macht zu erhalten. Doch sein rechte Hand Archy (Mark Strong) erinnert ihn immer wieder daran, dass sich die Zeiten in London ändern: Mächtige Mafiosi und hungrige Straßenganoven wollen auch ihren Teil vom Kuchen!
